Stand up for what you believe in

You work hard to put food on the table, but every day it seems the cost of living keeps going up. We need to work together to solve this problem. Unemployment is a major problem facing our families, community and nation. I want to implement policies that incentivize our youth to pursue a career in the trades. 85% of Americans say that they value economic stability as opposed to rising up the income ladder. We should be providing the next generation with the opportunity for long term employment and stable wages they can start a family with. Montana’s cost of living has been rising exponentially over the last few years.

Montanans are unique in our capacity for kindness, resilience, and doing the right thing. Right now our state and the City of Great Falls is threatened by rising crime and hardcore drug use. We must come together and stand strong to preserve all that we hold dear. We should be providing our local law enforcement with the resources they need to make our communities safer. In the Montana we grew up in, our kids were safe when walking to school and playing outside. Let’s return to an era when our families were safe in their own homes. As we witness the collapse of our communities (declining social cohesion), broken families, fatherless homes and misguided youth, we should turn our communities' health from the hands of the government back to the hands of private institutions (like churches). I would like to redirect resources away from counter-productive and often destructive welfare programs and instead towards local groups and institutions that have a true stake in the issues and a personal understanding of the problem.

Whether you are a homeowner or renter I think we can all agree the cost of housing is getting out of control. We need to work on policies that make home ownership more affordable and keep the rent prices realistic. We need to be communicating with local landlords and property owners to conceive of a pragmatic solution. We should be prioritizing local Montanan’s interests, so we don’t turn into California. Non-residents should not be dictating Monana’s future.
Who is Pete Anderson?
I was born in Great Falls and raised on a ranch near Monarch, MT. Although I initially went to school in Belt, I ended up finishing high school at CMR where I met my future wife. We both went on to pursue higher education at MSU Bozeman and ended up settling back in Great Falls to start a family. It turns out following your dreams doesn’t always pay the bills so I started working as a construction laborer and found my true calling. In 2020 I started my own remodel and renovation business and have helped countless members of the community complete their home improvements. Never in my life did I think it would be possible to have a say in the political decision making process until I heard that the district I live in was in need of honest and local representation. Not only do I live in House District 23, but its where my kids go to daycare, where my father has worked for forty-five years, and where many of my clients reside. I wouldn’t want some random politician calling the shots for my neighborhood! Circumstances compelled me to take a chance to run for representative because not only do I listen when people talk to me, I take action to solve problems. As a small business owner, country boy, and family man I know that people want a leader who goes through the same struggles they do and wants to actually solve problems.
